Heading to San Miguel

Hey Everyone -

So I finally got to a computer! Pdays are great because we go out of the house and I get to communicate with some other white guys finally and I can use the computer in the church haha! 

  I can't remember if I said this in my last email, but the street tacos are absolutely amazing here!  Some days I don't have the opportunity to do much, but the ones that I do are really fun days.  I got to play a ghetto version of tennis with Elder Summers, my comps and I found a dead chicken in the road with its head cut off and we played soccer with it, and I almost bought some Louis Vuitton shoes and a Gucci fanny pack for like $30 (they were fake, obviously).   

This week and a half-ish have been an adventure but also pretty tough.  The guys that I live with don't really do much, but I've learned to live with them and I'm still in training so I'm just hanging in there for now.  I'm starting to get used to all the free time I have because I basically just workout, read and study all day which is turning out to be pretty fun!  I'm learning a lot of spanish from textbooks, doctrine from reading the scriptures, and I've already read two of my personal books that I brought with me.  One day, I said to myself "no matter what happens, I'm gonna love my companion by the end of this transfer!" and I've seen my relationship with my companion grow a ton this week!  I know God has a plan for me during this mission and I can't wait to find out what it is!

Last time I got to speak with my mom, she told me to read in my patriarchal blessing.  I couldn't believe all the rich blessings God has in store for me in my mission!  I really want to become the person I'm supposed to be, and become a leader among God's battalion of youth.  It's going to take some time, but I've been leaning on God these past 3 weeks. I'm so glad i get to speak with my family and I challenge everyone out there reading this to reach out to a family member and talk to them, just like President Nelson said in this general conference: "Just reach out, and say 'hi!'"  

I don't know when the next time will be when I can get to a computer because tomorrow I'm finally leaving Celaya for San Miguel, my assigned area! Which I just found out today!  Look up some pictures of San Miguel because it is SO beautiful!  Guys, remember that God has a plan for ALL of us, and that he wants us to be HAPPY.  Choose happiness everybody!  All I've been doing is choosing happiness and it makes life so much better to see the good things in hard times.  If you wanna talk some more to me, please email me back! July 28, 2022  The home stretch starts . . . Hey fam and friends! It's been a while! I've had some really interesting experiences this past week with our investigators and seeing the Lord's hand in His work. We received a new mission president!!! President Stapley and his wife are amazing and I'm looking forward to having a great time working with them. I found out they know my aunt and uncle because they live in California. I'm gonna have to catch up on some other stuff too since the last time I wrote. I got a new backpack, but I still haven't gotten any scriptures as I have no way of getting new ones, nor do I know how to get any. But I should be getting some new ones from the offices soon. Life in Irapuato

Hey Everyone, Honestly I've been super busy and I am sorry for not writing many emails, but I feel happy inside knowing that I get to experience all the things that I'm experiencing out here in the field, right in the heart of Mexico. There are so many things that happen, I can't take pictures of it all. I just take it in. However, I do have some pictures and that's mostly what I'll be sharing today. We got to have a conference with Elder Ochoa of the Seventy. He and his wife gave amazing talks and we felt the spirit there really strongly. My comp and I went on some adventures last pday. We slept on the roof one day and then watched the sunrise, it was a little cold but beautiful. I've always wanted to go to this big crater in our area, so we finally did. After that, we decided to hike another one and hiked to the top of a small mountain. It was like the most fun thing I've done in months. Celaya Zone Conference

May 26, 2021 Ola Everyone - Last Monday for P-Day was so awesome!  We went to Dolores Hidalgo.   We played some street soccer.  We found a random neighborhood court and there were all these freakin'  kids who were like 10 years old.  They were just kickin' my bum at soccer!  They were crazy good!  I kept fouling people but it was street soccer so it doesn't matter ha ha!  Oh, I also caught this bird!  I found a pigeon on the road and we brought it home to the apartment and we fed it.  it was kinda fun--but we left it at the other missionary's home ha ha!  And yes, Mom . . . I washed my hands :) This week we kept teaching this lady named Veronica and Hermana Monces.  They keep feeding us which is SUPER nice!  Friday was our Zone Conference!  I got to see my mission president and a bunch of other missionaries in the Celaya Zone which was AMAZING!  I love my president so much!
