Elder Spencer Chamberlain

April 25, 2021 S1 E9 Ola amigos y familia - Where do I start?  I'm doing a LOT of working to find members.  Since we have church on Zoom it's hard to meet people.  We are knocking a ton of doors but only 1 out of every 5 actually answer the door.   We have been working with this lady who is super cool-- I think she is the relief society president.  We walk around with her and she shows us where to go.  She is the most cheerful, happy lady I have ever seen.  She has a super cheerful attitude all the time.  Whenever she sees people on the street and just goes up and helps them.  I want to be more like that.   Last Sunday night we got to eat dinner with a family--she's a barber and guess what?  We made TAMALES!  They were SO good!  (I sent a photo!) Monday was P-Day and it was great, actually because we went to Celaya to visit some other elders and we just hung out.  We went to the church and I got to play...

 ( Elder Chamberlain is in MEXICO but has no access to a computer so he sent me a voice memo dictating his email to everyone :) Hey Everyone - So I arrived in Mexico last Tuesday!  Yay!  It was really late when we arrived at the airport.  It was FULL immersion for me.  No English speakers anywhere.  We met the Mission President and we got in his car and he gave us some Carl's Jr burgers which was SO good because it was American food!  We drove to where we were going to stay that night and it was fun because he was playing Michael Jackson in his car which was awesome!  It was crazy---I have never seen so many people ride motorcycles or police officers holding huge guns in these big trucks!  I have never seen so many people stacked on ONE motorcycle either.  We saw a family of like 5 or 6 all hanging off one motorcycle.  It was crazy!   We got there and had a good sleep.  The next day we went to the office and met the a...
