Days in Queretaro
Ola Familia y Amigos,
So sorry I haven't been sending any emails these past few weeks. Not much has been happening to say the least, but there are some days that are cool. So, pretty much P-days are the most eventful day of the week. We have had some carne asada P-days where we all get together and make food. We also go to the mall which is like my favorite part of the week because for some reason walking around stores makes me feel like a normal human being. . . an active member of society ha ha!
It's been raining here a bunch which I love and it feels nice! I love playing the piano when I can and I have written a few mini songs which are pretty cool. Oh, and I got vaccinated which was a pretty funny experience! We went down to this random race car track in Queretaro. And there was this MASSIVE line of people. Think of Disney, then times it by ten! So we all file into this huge garage and there are hundreds of chairs. Then we all took a seat in these rows. Then a bunch of nurses got ready with shots in their hands and someone on a loudspeaker says in Spanish, "Ok ready . . .GO!" Then this mariachi music starts BLASTING and the nurses go up and down the rows vaccinating everyone. It was crazy! Then, after waiting for 15 minutes they told us to stand up and said, "Ok, now we need you to move your arms around so we are going to do the MACARENA!" Everyone starts clapping and then dancing the Macarena! All of us missionaries were dying laughing! The nurses, patients, everyone were going crazy dancing the Macarena! It was so funny! We had transfers last Monday and I'm staying here but we got a lot of new missionaries so that's exciting.
There is a verse in Romans that has helped me a ton this week. It's Romans 12:10-12 "Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer." I want everyone to know that my testimony has grown a ton being here. I like the safe feeling that I have being out here on my mission. I love Joseph Smith and I also have a stronger testimony of prayer. Prayer is super important to have a relationship with God. You can ALWAYS pray to Him, whenever you want. Even when nobody else is there, He will always be there to listen to you. Just pour out your heart because He is the best listener. Thank you all for reading this. Please email me :) I attached some photos this time too!
I love you all!
