Miracles and Transfers
Hola amigos, familia, and everyone else who reads my emails. Thank you for your prayers. These past few weeks have been a rollercoaster, and it's been amazing to see some miracles happen.
In Valle de Santiago, we baptized a girl named Perla and her daughter Annia. These people were so ready for baptism! It had been a long time since our área had seen a baptism, so it was good to see two finally happen. On the Sunday that they were confirmed, after the meeting, the mom, Perla, told us about an experience she had before her baptism. On Wednesday night (two days before her baptism) she had a dream in which she heard a voice tell her to read Zechariah 3:3. At first, she didn't understand. The next day, she told his sister, but she didn't believe her, saying it was just a dream. Then Perla said, "Well, if God really wanted me to read Zechariah, He would tell me again." Then, of course, that night, she had the same dream: "read Zechariah 3:3" So the next day, after reading Zechariah 3:3, our investigator Perla realized that she had 'filthy garments.' She read the next verse and learned that she was going to spiritually 'change her raiment' with clean garments. Then, she had her baptism with her daughter, she was confirmed the Sunday after, and she told us about that experience and that she felt clean after her baptism. We were so stoked to hear that she had this wonderful experience! We told her that this was a testimony and to write it down and never forget it. On Sunday night, we thanked God a ton for allowing us to participate in this beautiful miracle.
My son who I was training, Elder Rydalch, and I worked super hard the next few weeks, and we had 3 more dates. Unfortunately we won't be able to see those come to pass because we had transfers. I'm praying a lot this week that our investigators who we had taught get baptized. Yes, last Monday we had transfers and they closed our área Valle de Santiago! In fact they closed our whole district. We were sad to hear that, but we still have hope because our areas are being combined with the areas of some other elders.
I said goodbye to my greenie Elder Rydalch and told him that he will make a great missionary and he told me I was a great trainer. I made it to my new area called Tejeda! It's in Querétaro, but kind of far away from the city. (My whole mission I've gotten areas that are far away from everything) and my comp, Elder Quintero, just got out of his training. He told me that this area was really slow and work was scarce. I said, "Well, there's always work, we just have to find it." If I could find work in my last area, Valle de Santiago, I can find it here.
That's all for now. I love and thank all of you for supporting me and being there for me. I only have a little more than two months left on the mission! Time is flying right now. Please let me know how you are doing and if you guys need anything, I love to talk with anyone/everyone. Love you guys!
