More Baptisms and Exciting News!

 More Baptisms and exciting news!

Hola friends and family, it's been awhile since I've written. These past few weeks have been wild, and especially this one was even wilder. We had two Baptisms this Saturday and they're our two good friends Jesús and Germán. Jesús is a 20 year old kid who really wanted to be prepared for his baptism so he did everything he could to stay clean and worthy, and he texted us on Sunday night that since his confirmation he has felt immense joy and peace, which he had never felt before. This brought me so much happiness because we're both the same age and to see the light of the gospel enter into someone's life in such a beautiful way is just amazing. He brought his family to his baptism and his mom brought some tamales too! They're also interested in learning more so we'll be teaching them soon. (I sent a photo of me and Elder Brinkerhoff with them)  Also, Jesús could be interested in serving a mission! It would be so amazing to see one of my converts serve a mission and impact the lives of others. Germán is 29 years old and likes to travel around Mexico. From the start he's wanted to get baptized and we just taught him and then boom!  He is super tranquilo. (that means cool ha ha)  Actually, he wanted to get baptized so fast that this past week we had to teach him fast because he didn't have all the requirements for baptism, so after some fast lessons in the week, he was able to get baptized on time. We have some other investigators who've wanted to get baptized but they recently had a baby last monday! We were so stoked! We'll be talking to them soon to see their baby and prepare for their wedding and baptism.  (they aren't married so we are helping them get married so they can be baptized!)

Sunday night we had a devotional with our Mission President Stapley and his wife, and they announced that the whole mission will be going to the temple!  This is a big deal since the temple is outside of our mission boundaries.  Each zone in the mission will go to a different temple on different days.  So on December 13, all of my zone, El Sol, will be going to the Mexico City Temple!  We are SO stoked! It's almost been 2 years since I've been to the temple.

Guys, literally every day is an adventure. I meet new people every day, and every day I've had the opportunity to touch someone's life. It is beautiful. I got the "My Plan" about 2 weeks ago and I'm working on that. It's a bittersweet feeling, but I know I'll feel ready to leave on Jan 4.

I love you guys so much and thank you for being there for me! Just a few more weeks left and I'm home. Have a good week everyone!
